AVFD Junior Cadet Program
Our Mission
To provide the youth of our community an opportunity to learn about the fire service. Through teamwork and dedication, we strive to improve our lives. To achieve academic excellence, and to conduct ourselves with honor, integrity, and dignity. We will enrich our lives and our community while learning and bettering ourselves.

The Angleton Volunteer Fire Department Junior Cadet Program is a youth-focused initiative designed to educate and inspire the next generation of first responders. Since its founding in 2015, the program has provided young individuals ages 14 to 19 with hands-on experience in fire service operations, emergency response, and public safety.
Junior Cadets participate in structured training sessions, community service events, and ride-along opportunities under the mentorship of experienced firefighters. The program promotes leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and a strong sense of civic duty. It also serves as a valuable stepping stone for those interested in pursuing a future career in firefighting or emergency services.
The Angleton Volunteer Fire Department is proud to support local youth through this dynamic and rewarding program, helping build a safer and stronger community one cadet at a time.
